Chiropractic

A rushed, assembly-line chiropractic approach is not what you will find at Tompkins Wellness Center.

Rather Dr. Wayne takes the time to thoroughly address your specific structural need for that day. He goes even deeper than chiropractic. For example, he will determine “why” your shoulder keeps getting out of alignment, or why your hip keeps hurting. Often, it’s an organ imbalance that needs to be addressed so you don’t have to keep coming back for the same treatment.

Dr. Wayne’s chiropractic approach is gentle, thorough and specific. Using gentle hands and specific adjusting instruments, he uses several chiropractic techniques such as Activator, Applied Kinesiology and Diversified.

Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology (AK) is a method that evaluates structural, chemical and mental aspects of health using manual muscle testing combined with other standard methods of diagnosis. A non-invasive method of evaluating body function that is unique in the healing arts, applied kinesiology has become a dynamic movement in health care in its relatively short existence.

When using Applied Kinesiology to evaluate a patient, Dr. Wayne will ask the patient to gently resist the pressure of his hand as he tests a specific muscle and organ/gland point. By doing so, Dr. Wayne can detect possible weakness and deficiency in various areas of the body.
